For the GDCI Spirit of Canada group, the learning continues. Shannon Thunderbird joined us on Monday. http://www.shannonthunderbird.com

Shannon taught us to sing and drum the Lil’Wat Salish Women’s Warrior song to honour and remember the indigenous women who have gone missing or have been murdered. The song is still drumming in my heart.

Every time our group comes together to learn or take action, we grow stronger. Stronger in our belief that we need to add our voice to this quiet issue and stronger in our conviction that what we are doing is RIGHT and JUST.

Listen to one of our group speak from the heart about why we are doing what we are doing – learning, painting, drumming about this cause.

Thank you to http://foundationforeducation.ca/ for bringing Shannon Thunderbird to GDCI! We loved every minute of it!
